During World War I drafted into Austro–Hungarian army as a chaplain. Ministered, inter alia, on the front lines of battles with the Russians in 1914/5, in a field hospital (lazaret) in the village of Królewice in Sandomierz poviat.

Perished in Vienna, in another military hospital.
