Murdered by a shot through the window in his parish house.
According to Polish sources — the Polish police — the perpetrators were supposed to be members of the genocidal Ukrainian organization OUN, which carried out terrorist activities aimed at the Polish state (supported logistically and with equipment by National Socialist Germany).
