After Bolshevik coup in 1917 in Russia arrested on 08.03.1918 by the Russians, on the order of three Bolshevik People's Commissars of Jewish origin: Aronov, Goldman and Goldberg.
Accused of counter revolutionary activities, membership of Polish Military Organization POW (a clandestine Polish organization in Russia active during World War I in 1914‑1918), and hiding of Polish soldiers.
On 28.03.1918 sentenced by the murderous Bolshevik „revolutionary tribunal”.

When the sentence was announced the parishioners — including women — who loudly defended him were shot at by the Russian soldiers.
Few died (including two women).
Russians took him out of town, tortured — when found his body had 5 bullet wounds, 4 knife wounds, smashed head and broken arms — and murdered.
With him two Polish boys were murdered after several hours of torture.
Catholic in Mogilev till these days quote, that during tortures Bolsheviks attempted to get a confession out him that God does not exist to which he was to reply „You may kill the body but not the soul and spirit”.
