details of death

In 1897, in connection with the conflict in Lepel with the clergy supported by the Russian tsarist authorities — prob. concerning the so‑called trebnyky, or liturgical ritual books, which often contained elements of the so‑called „simple speech”, that is „a language separate from Orthodox Church and Polish languages by saturating phonetics and vocabulary with elements of a living folk language” — evicted by the authorities from the Lepel parish and deported to Kazan in the depths of Russia.

After 1918 and Bolshevik revolution permanently persecuted by Russian authorities.

His house was being search every two days.
