Fatally shot during the robbery of his church and rectory during the night of 07/08.06.1933.
Three bandits, having removed the glass pane from the window, burst into the presbytery.
Not finding the expected cash in the parish office, they entered the bedroom.
The clergyman, awakened by the sound of drawers being pulled back, just managed to ask — „who's there?”, when revolver bullets caught him.
Died the same day in the hospital.
Bandits were apprehended and sentenced to death.
