In 08.1919, while saying Holy Mass, arrested by the Russians. Thanks to support of his parishioners — a crowd gathered around his rectory, parishioners started to toll the bell — released. In 1921 (according to other sources in 1919) illegally crossed the border to the reborn Poland (those parishioner were subsequently murdered by the Russians). In his last parish in Zimna Woda murdered by unknown bandits during a robbery of the rectory — shot twice in the back and once in the head.
